Reach Robinhood Sequencer First: Speed Boost Is Now Live

Article title image

On Robinhood Chain, the first transaction to reach the sequencer wins the position - and now you can get there faster.

Today, we're launching Speed Boost on Robinhood Chain through bloXroute's Blockchain Distribution Network (BDN) - our lowest-latency transaction submission path, available to any trader, bot, wallet, or dApp building on the network.

The Current Problem

Robinhood Chain uses first-come, first-served sequencing: transaction order is decided by arrival time at the sequencer, and a later transaction can't jump ahead by paying a higher fee. That makes how fast — and how consistently — you reach the sequencer the deciding factor. When transactions compete for the same opportunity, earlier arrival translates directly into earlier ordering.

How bloXroute Changes This

When you send a transaction to Robinhood Chain, it travels over the public internet to the sequencer. There isn't a single route between two points — there are several parallel paths, and each connection you open is assigned one at random for its lifetime. Some are a few milliseconds faster than others, and you can't see or choose which one you got.

Speed Boost removes that luck. Instead of one path, we send every transaction over multiple live connections to the fastest sequencer entry point simultaneously — the sequencer accepts whichever copy arrives first and ignores the rest. Your transaction always arrives by the fastest available path, while a standard submission arrives by whatever single path it happened to draw. We continuously refresh our connection set to keep it fast over time.

For the customer, nothing changes: same endpoint, same request, one transaction. The optimization happens on our side. Full technical details and parameters are available in our docs.

The Numbers

We tested Speed Boost on the live Robinhood network across thousands of head-to-head races - sending a Speed Boost transaction and an identical standard transaction at the same instant, and counting which landed first. A standard submission racing another standard submission wins about 50% of the time (pure chance). Speed Boost wins:

Frankfurt

61%

In short: Speed Boost lands first in 60–80% of races that a standard submission wins half the time.

Why This Matters

For traders and bots, this means a better chance of landing the position you're targeting. For latency-sensitive activity like arbitrage, liquidations, and state-dependent swaps, reducing the time it takes to reach the sequencer directly improves your ability to get there ahead of competing flow.

For DEXs, wallets, and dApps, a low-latency, dependable submission path improves execution quality for your users without changing how they interact with your application.
