Running the Gateway with an Account

Gateways can be run with or without an account, however, running a Gateway with an account enables several additional features. The most noticeable features include transactions streaming and using the API to send transactions fast. View a comparison of the different plans here.
After Gateway installation, the Gateway will run without an account. The Gateway provides the node access to the BDN and will speed up block and transaction propagation to and from the node that it is peered with. By default, the Gateway will provide the features associated with the Introductory tier plan.
Each plan tier enables new functionality to users. For all tiers except the Introductory tier, the Gateway must be associated with an account.

How to Run Your Gateway With An Account

1. Register an account.

2. Start the Gateway.

3. Verify that the certificate was loaded by examining the Gateway log file. You should see the following log line:

INFO - "NodeSSLService is successfully loaded."
